This is the Buckley Family. The children’s names were Susan and John. As a Halloween joke, all the kids in the neighborhood were going to get a dummy and pretend to chop its head off. The Buckley children thought it would be hilarious to actually murder their mother, so when the kids walked up the the door, they got an axe and slaughtered her. Once everyone figured out what they had really done, they called the police, but the kids were long gone by then. The only picture of them was this photo, taken by a trick or treater. The mothers body was later found half eaten.
What the
A wonderful group of truly lovely individuals brought together by their love of Modest Mouse has morphed into a delightful collective sharing their love of [making] music. These people are from all over the world, and I’m very proud to call them my friends. Every once in awhile, a deadline is set, songs are picked, and everybody gets busy working on a cover- the style is entirely up to the person making the song, and then the work is done to make the volume just that, rather than just a bunch of songs thrown together.
The love they feel for this band is unmatched by most fans I know, and their dedication and appreciation really shows, here. I went to a Modest Mouse show more than three thousand miles from my home, and other group members were in attendance. Americans go to England to see shows with other members, etc. They’ve gotten engaged to each other, had children together, made best friends for life- all because they love this band.
I just wanted to share so you guys can see that there are other people out there who get it, who love it, and who fucking show it.
